“RESOURCES
@ EXTINCTION”
The
most special bounty we are endowed with is our wonderful nature with its
precious resources. But unfortunately, today most of the eccentric ones are
being depleted excessively by human activities, as our attitude being incautious
about the conservation of natural resources like ozone layer, water, minerals
petroleum, forest, and energy. Most of them are near to their elimination as we
are badly facing their scarcity. This is no doubt, the outcome of our
self-centric greedy frame of mind, and if we continue the same, the day
isn’tfar when we will soon run out of
all our beneficed paraphernalia of resources and this will quite expectedly
lead our word to suffer on unquenchable fire…an eternal doom.
In accordance to save our mother earth, lets sign a contract (with sincere dedication) to be eagle-eyed
about all our undue responsibilities to save ozone & all other resources. Here
are some of indispensable measures, which could bring a big change if strictly adhered
to:
- Don’t let your fridges open for
more than required time.
- Promote use of CNG & LPG.
- Plant more trees & conserve
existing ones.
- Spread more awareness.
- Turn off lights when not in use.
- Switch to CFLs.
- Be alert all time to save water
& energy.
- Prefer public transport.
- Use resources as per your need, not
greeds.
MOST IMPORTANTLY, FOLLOW THESE POINTS AND ENCOURAGE OTHERS FOR THE SAME, INSTEAD OF SIMPLY READING IT.
A poem by MOTHER EARTH:
Save me! Save me!
Save me! Save
me!
My arms‘ve been cut,
No one to regenerate them,
Everybody to construct buildings there,
And the ‘roads’ to their selfishness,
All ‘greenery’ has been cut,
My arms‘ve been cut,
Save me! Save me!
Everybody is talking,
Nobody is caring,
I’m sweating, sweating and sweating,
My body is melting, melting and melting,
Everything‘ll be flushed in a while,
And everybody is gossiping,
But nobody is caring,
Save me! Save me!
My breath is ‘suffocated’ now,
Me and all my children,
Most gave up the spirit,
Of some, habitats are vanished,
Some died with ‘hot suffocation’,
And others are ‘paradoxically’,
Preparing to achieve the same!
Save me! Save me!
My skin is full of thirst,
Of that precious fluid,
Of which pools are dead,
Still, all are conferencing,
And everybody is preaching,
But nobody is practicing,
I’m even not left with much tears to express,
Save me! Save me!
My dear children,
I’ve given you at the top of my capacity,
And now, it’s
your turn
To conserve my jewels and your bounties;
To use judiciously whatever is left;
I’ve been caring for your since long,
But today, I’m left helpless!
My children, I’m your mother,
And begging you :
Will you help me?
Will you wipe my tears?
Could you do something to save me ?
It’s all in your hand now…..
“Save me! Save me!”
-yours loving
Mother Earth.
DEAR READERS,
Lets not only be contented by reading this poem just for the sake of reading BUT keep
thinking and act positively about the question that our mother ask -“COULD
YOU DO SOMETHING TO SAVE ME? I’M YOUR MOTHER”
